From Moose and Squirrel comes this story of rewarding billion dollar failures by forcing consumers to buy only electric cars. California is known for its love affair with cars, so much that Disney Land is creating a new attraction for it. Environutjobbery at its craziest that it burns.
From Blazing Cat Fur, a six year old child is branded a sex offender over a game of tag by his school board in violation of state law.
While Americans are hurting in times of high unemployment and low jobs, California has said NO to American Pacific Mortgage which is prepared to help home owners with lower interest rate mortgages.
Meanwhile, a Federal study of Morgellons in northern California reveals the folks are just plain nuts.
An NFL coach puts the touch-feely California bred crowd in their place:
“Is it just in California that everybody just wants to know how you feel?” he asked a group of reporters yesterday. “Care about what you thought, what you did, how you felt, how your pinky feels. Is that just a California thing? Back where I come from, nobody really cares. In my opinion, it is a California thing.”
As warm weather usually brings an upswing in criminal activity, in California, its warm all the time, and full of Liberals. No wonder the Occupest protest continues with activists launching improvised explosives at the Police:
“Officers were pelted with bottles, metal pipe, rocks, spray cans, improvised explosive devices and burning flares,” the Oakland Police Department said in a statement. “Oakland Police Department deployed smoke and tear gas.”
While businesses are leaving California in droves, what does Governor Brown do to try to keep them or attract them? It’s even affecting the beaches. Aside from living in a dream world where money will magically appear to fund anything they want, Liberals are completely addicted to taxes:
As the biggest Liberal state in the US, California is always ready to get behind the next big cause, yet they ignore their own:
First, people in our cities generally don’t know much about “the rest of California,” have barely ventured off Interstate 5.
Do we really care who’s face we’re doing yoga on?
California is reaping the consequences of California’s Senate Bill 48:
California schools must include LGBT (lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender) persons’ role in the social sciences and related subjects.
California Nanny State laws:
…children will now have to ride in a car seat or booster seat until they reach the age of eight or the height of four feet, nine inches.
(I’ve had relatives who fit that category, never have surpassed the four foot nine inch height!)
More Nanny State waste as California decided to wage war on the video game industry:
While Arnold Schwarzenegger is back in Hollywood making millions of dollars on new movies, he’s left a debt to the people of California. The state of California agreed to reimburse the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) $950,000 for legal fees incurred from the trade association’s recent U.S. Supreme Court victory, ESA announced today. The U.S. Supreme Court case was the latest result of then-Governor Schwarzenegger and State Senator Leland Yee’s (D-San Francisco) ill-fated attempt to impose clearly unconstitutional regulations on video games.
It was a bad law meant to keep sick animals from being slaughtered, but you’d never know it by how it was written:
The 2008 state law had made it illegal for slaughterhouses in California to “receive a non-ambulatory animal.” Any animal that could not stand on its own was to be returned to the farm or “humanely euthanized.”
And that was just scratching the surface. California is the most populous state in the US with nearly 38 million people. Imagine the powerhouse it could be if it was suddenly un-stupified and allowed to be ruled in a conservative manner where the greater good was based on the wealth of the individual rather than the state’s need to redistribute wealth at the expense of all.
Stupid is as stupid does.
